Extendable teak dining table by LB Kofod Larsen, MCM, 1950/60
Vintage extendable dining table by LB Kofod Larsen, emblematic of Scandinavian design from the 1950s–1960s. An elegant and functional piece, with clean and balanced lines, typical of Danish Mid-Century furniture.
A rectangular wooden tabletop (likely teak veneer on solid wood) with rounded edges rests on tapered legs. The table has two integrated extensions, stored under the tabletop, allowing it to transform from a compact size to a large, convivial table.
LB Kofod Larsen was a Danish designer active in the mid-20th century, renowned for his functional furniture with elegant proportions. His work is firmly rooted in the Mid-Century Scandinavian design movement, highly sought after today for its quality craftsmanship and timeless lines.
Dimensions:
• 85 × 145 cm
• Length with extensions: 225 cm
• Height: 76 cm - height under structure: 64 cm
Very good overall condition for its age. There are two small holes in the tabletop and a few scratches on the legs, but these do not affect its sturdiness or overall appearance. Signs of wear consistent with an antique piece of furniture; see photos.
