An elegant decorative chess set comprising a circular board of natural malachite with deep green veins, and matching pieces in green malachite and light-colored stone. Dating from the mid-20th century, this set reflects the tradition of Eastern European-inspired decorative objects, highly prized for their quality of material and refined aesthetics.

The board, with a diameter of 21.5 cm , is in excellent condition. The pieces, with their simple and stylized design, measure up to 3.5 cm for the king . Some have been re-glued in the past, without affecting the stability or the overall visual harmony (see photos).

Both a decorative and collectible item, ideal for a library, an office or a reception room.
